In the *C.A.T.R.A. Cutting Test, the D2 scored 300.6 mm, far exceeding its closest competition of only 168.8 mm.
The #1461 comes with Contoured Micarta handles and has an overall length of 9 1/2".
The 4 1/2" blade has been laser cut from D2 stock steel, heat treated to [HRC 59-60] hardness rating, deep frozen to -120 degrees, and double draw tempered.
Available with a ballistic nylon KA-BAR / Eagle sheath with a molded blade insert which provides a firm, flexible, and quiet use condition.
It has a Velcro lined belt loop with snap closure.
