U.S. servicemen / servicewomen and civilians alike all asked for a "desert" version of the well known black KA-BAR fighting utility knife, and here it is.
Knife comes complete with desert colored Kraton G handle and hard SGF sheath.
Knife will serve well in desert and sand conditions, not only because of the color, but because of the quality materials with which it is made.
The 1095 carbon steel blade is black epoxy powder coated to be non-reflective and is easily sharpened in the field.
Oval shaped Kraton G handle is lightly textured for a secure non-slip grip.
The hard SGF sheath locks the knife in place and is constructed out of a tough reinforced glass filled nylon which provides a hard surface to protect during rough use. It is resistant to impact, corrosion, and abrasion. The sheaths all-weather performance also makes it impervious to most chemicals, petroleum-based products, and moisture, including salt water.
Together with its several lashing ports and knife lock in, it provides multiple tie-down and mounting options, including upside down in a shoulder area or strapped to a LBV, or BA vest.
Sheath will fit all full size 7" fixed blade KA-BAR knives.
